Services for Bobby L. Wells, 71, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Pine Valley Congregational Methodist Church in Diboll, Texas with Bro. Bobby Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Wells was born December 1, 1945 in Livingston, the son of the late Germaine (Vandikirken) and George Wells. He passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Wells was born December 1, 1945 in Livingston, the son of the late Germaine (Vandikirken) and George Wells. He passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mr. Wells was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a selfless giving person, enjoyed helping everyone and was a servant of the Lord who loved his church. Bobby was a member of Pine Valley Congregational Methodist Church for over 15 years, where he served as a Deacon. He was very dependable and reliable in all aspects of his life. He was retired from Temple-Inland.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Patricia Fitzgerald; two sons, Jerry Wells and Mike Ross; two granddaughters; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Mary Wells and David and Terri Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emily Ann Wells; and four brothers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pine Valley Congregational Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the church.
Services have been placed in the trust of Oakley-Metcalf 2Funeral Home.
