Services for Jimmie M. Ebard, 90, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Ebarb was born January 18, 1926 in Newton, Texas, the son of the late Clara (Lewis) and Jimmie Ebarb. He passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Ebarb was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and always took care of them. He enjoyed camping, telling jokes, and buying, selling...

Mr. Ebarb was born January 18, 1926 in Newton, Texas, the son of the late Clara (Lewis) and Jimmie Ebarb. He passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Ebarb was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and always took care of them. He enjoyed camping, telling jokes, and buying, selling and swapping. He was retired from the City of Nacogdoches maintenance department following 14 years of employment. Mr. Ebarb served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Harris Ebarb of Lufkin; sons, Billy Wayne Ebarb and wife Dianne Williamson Ebarb, Jimmy Ray Ebarb and wife Patty, Ricky Ebarb, Jay Ebarb and wife Lynn, Jimmy M. (Jimbo) Ebarb Jr., and Sammy Ebarb and wife Cathy; daughters, Mary Bryan and Deanna Ebarb; grandchildren, Matthew Ebarb, Jennifer Lockhart, John (Bubba) Bryan, Christopher Ebarb, Amanda Ebarb, Ashley Ebarb, Johnny Wayne Ebarb, Melinda Ebarb, Jennifer Rogers, Stacy Ebarb, Johnny Ebarb, Bubba Ebarb, and Little Jimbo Ebarb; and a number of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ebarb was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Ebarb; granddaughter, Clara Elizabeth (Bird) Ebarb; grandson, Jimmy Ebarb; daughter-in-law, Peggy Ebarb; brothers, Josh (Jay) Ebarb, Bob Ebarb, and Barney Ebarb; sisters, Emmer Cross and Sammy Ebarb; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ebarb.
Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Ebarb, Matthew Ebarb, Herschel Ebarb, Joshua K. Ebarb Jr., Donnie Ebarb, and John (Bubba) Bryan.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jimbo Ebarb.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
